Lumi Master/Tier List

Lumi Master Tier List

overall value across all 256 Lumi, on the game's 1.5.3 launch numbers. Worker-class Lumi sit in D throughout — they're built for the home system, not for battle. The 63 Lumi added at launch are marked est: the meta hasn't settled around them yet, so they're placed on their stats and kit. Every Lumi's page explains its own placement · updated 7 Oct 2026

How this tier list is judged

Lumi are ranked for battle: the Arena ladder first, then story and the harder modes. A Lumi's band comes from what its kit actually does in a fight. That means its signature's power and cost, its trait, its best swappable skills, its stats at the top of its line, and how many types hit it for double. S is a Lumi that anchors a team or wins fights on its own. A is a strong pick with one clear limit. B does a job well inside the right team. C is a stop on the way to a better form or a narrow specialist. D is for Lumi you should not fight with.

Some Lumi carry an estimate label. Those are placements built from reading the kit rather than from seeing the Lumi tested in ranked play, usually because it is new or rare. The 42 Worker-class Lumi sit at D because they are for your home, not for battle. Their pages say which job each one is best at instead.

The top picks, and why

Floragon and Charigon are the two Lumi most worth building for the Arena. Floragon's Dragon Roar forces the enemy to switch, and every Lumi it drags in picks up a Leech and walks over your traps, which is why both trap teams on this site end on it. Charigon hits hardest the moment it arrives: Draconic Terror strips 2 DEF stages on entry and Dragon Rage turns those lost stages into Pierce. Flamblades joined them at S: Burn gives it Swift, Swift makes Raid a guaranteed crit, and opponents now build their leads to stop it. Bluesaur Goma and Regaffin are the newest at S. Bluesaur Goma's 3-Energy roar picks the enemy's weakest Lumi and cuts 2 DEF stages as it lands, and Regaffin ends fights with one Swift Storm when Storm is up.

Rainbowdeer is the safest lead in the game, with Fortune cutting the enemy's ATK on entry and 100 DEF with 100 HP behind it. Stellalibra, now at A, stacks Fortify behind it and gambles on a triple-power signature. Zaphound leads the Paralysis plans, with Jolkat at A setting them up, and Thornbloom snowballs off Leech on the enemy. Every top pick still has a weakness, and its reason on the list names it.

Ranked play only needs Lv. 40

A Lumi only has to reach Lv. 40 to be used on the Ladder and in the weekly tournament. You do not need to max anything before trying it in ranked play. Take a new team to 40, test it, and only then spend ascension materials on the three you keep.

Free picks, and how the chase Lumi are obtained

A free player can build a strong Arena team without paying. Florlet, the first form of Floragon, turns up in Greenwood on the Season 1 map. Mustinja is strong early, and Muskyx at the end of its line leads the trap team in the Arena. Charigon and Meteofly are only hatchable or bought, so treat them as long-term targets rather than catches. Limited Lumi are not required at the top either: regular Gold-rarity Lumi are fielded at Diamond and Master, and the Free-to-Play Dragon Rage team on Best Teams uses no limited or pass Lumi.

Three Lumi at the top are harder. Pterolux is the reward for completing the Season 1 Starcolor gallery, and whether a free player can finish it in time is disputed. Otterknight comes from the Starcolor otter quests, which take Rainbow otters and 10 Season 1 Rainbows. Xuan Wu is a paid pull. It is at A: 125 DEF, Rain on entry and a Deluge that washes Burn off the field, but with 81 ATK the pull only pays off if you run Rain.

What changed on 7 October

Twenty Lumi moved as the Arena settled around roar teams. Up to S: Bluesaur Goma, the roar every trap team wants, and Regaffin, which ends fights in one Swift Storm when Storm is up. Up to A: Little Red Peach and Big Bad Goma as a pair, Unicorn, Sandlord and its Variant, Loongster, Rochelon, Aequor and Netherfang. Up to B: Geniphant, Screamhog - Variant, Merridoo, Rocktle and Shlump, with Dancyduck - Variant up to C. Down to A: Xuan Wu, whose 81 ATK is the lowest of the S band, and Stellalibra, whose Fortify stages vanish to the roars that now lead the Arena. Levipup dropped to C. Best Teams gained six Arena teams and dropped three in-game line-ups that the new cards cover better, and a new Arena counter guide shows how to beat each team type.

On 30 September, Psykat and Bluesaur Goma both moved up from B to A. PvP players have built a team around the pair: Psykat sleeps a tanky lead so it can't swap away, Bluesaur Goma roars in the weakest enemy with 2 DEF stages already gone, and Charigon follows with Dragon Rage once the target is three stages down. It is on Best Teams as Dragon Roar Armour Break. The new guild mode, the Lumi Championship, also got its own team and guide. Nothing else moved.

On 28 September, Flamblades moved up from A to S. Since the global launch the ladder has been shaped around it: players lead Glasnake with Shield or save Dragon Roar just to get through its opening, and the game's own recommended line-ups now pair it with Lumi across the roster. Nothing else moved. The game's recommended line-up for every Lumi was refreshed from the live client, so the skill shown as the game's own pick on each page matches what the game suggests today, and the official Stat Boost team was replaced by an Ice team built on Frostbite.

On 23 September, floragon and Charigon moved up from A to S, on their results in the Arena and their place in the teams that are winning there. Xuan Wu and Zhu Que followed them up. Xuan Wu takes a quarter damage from Fire and washes Burn off the field, and Zhu Que's Sacred Fire cures the Leech and Paralysis that Floragon, Thornbloom and Zaphound rely on. Jolkat moved down from S to A: it sets up Paralysis well, but Zaphound does more with it. Every Lumi's reason on the list was rewritten against its own kit data. Several older reasons had the wrong numbers, such as skill costs given in SP instead of Energy, or described a trait the Lumi does not have. Four Arena teams were added to Best Teams, and 13 Lumi now show the skill to run in the Arena beside the game's own pick.
